The theme of this year’s Book Week is Curious Creatures Wild Minds and for 2020 we will be celebrating Book Week over a two-week period:
Week 3 (October 19 – 23) – various activities:
- Story time - staff will read a short listed picture book at lunch breaks around the school
- Book reviews by some of Mrs Hammond’s Book Club members as well as other children
- Drawing - create your own curious creature
- Colouring in competition
- Character Dress Up Day - come dressed as a book character from one of this year’s short listed books or any book character on Thursday October 22
Week 4 (October 26 - 30):
- Perform! Educational Musicals will present a virtual performance called The Greatest Discovery for Prep to Year 6 students. Information about the performance was sent home at the end of last term. The Greatest Discovery is a highly interactive educational virtual incursion where all students will explore the very best Australian children’s books and the 2020 CBCA Book Week theme: CURIOUS CREATURES, WILD MINDS. To participate in this activity payment has to have been made by 4.30pm on October 22, 2020.
