Recently,
staff and volunteers at Wishart State School have been working on the vegetable
garden, known as Wishart State Schools’ community garden.
Sally (AKA: convenor of the tuckshop) plans to
use the vegetables for new and healthy tuckshop meals on Fridays. Her co-worker’s,
Bernadette and Michele also want to use them to teach and educate the after-
school care children on fruit and vegetables.
People
involved include Sally, Bernadette and Michele, the after school care community
and children, some teachers, the chaplain, and a few parent and
student volunteers. “the garden is looking great,” Sally
commented. If anyone is interested in
joining, you’re more than welcome to, just go see Sally at the tuckshop during
the first or second break.
We’d like to
send our gratitude to the Before & After School team, Sally, the school, the
Chaplain, Bunnings Warehouse, and the parent and student volunteers for
making a difference in Wishart State School’s garden.
