Dance Troupe
Dance Troupe is an exciting extracurricular group designed for students from Years 2 to 6 who have a passion for dance and are eager to develop their skills. The troupe meets during one or two lunchtimes a week, and provides an opportunity for students to come together, learn new dances, and rehearse in a fun, supportive environment. Dance Troupe also focuses on building confidence, mastering dance technique, enhancing performance quality, and fostering teamwork. Throughout the year, students have the chance to showcase their hard work at various performance opportunities, allowing them to present the dances they've been perfecting in front of an audience.
Garden Club
Garden Club is open to all students from year 3 to 6, and by arrangement for younger students. We meet every first break on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 5A, near the chicken coop.
Come and join in all the fun and action. Sometimes we harvest. Sometimes we plant, sometimes we prune fruit trees, sometimes we sell flowers, fruit or plants at a mini market, or just admire the growing flowers.
Photography Club
Photography Club meets every Thursday during second break and is open to students from Years 4 to 6. Commencing in Term One continuing through to the conclusion of Term Four.
Throughout the year students explore a range of framing techniques and different angles enhancing their ability to capture interesting and fun images. Our activities are diverse, ranging from indoor and outdoor scavenger hunts to creative sessions utilising a selection of fun props. These engaging experiences are designed to inspire a lasting interest in photography.
It has been particularly gratifying to witness the progression of the students work over the years with many of their photographs being displayed at The Gravatt Show, where numerous entries have received accolades and awards. The practice of photography not only fosters creativity but also promotes the development of innovative ideas and critical thinking skills.
