Wishart State School continues to promote our Active School Travel program, which encourages students to make healthy, safe and environmentally friendly choices when travelling to and from school. Whether it's walking, cycling, scooting, carpooling, or using public transport, every active journey helps build lifelong habits and supports a more sustainable community.
We understand that driving may still be necessary for some families. That's okay! You can still be part of the program by choosing to park a short distance from school and walk or ride the rest of the way. This small change can make a big difference - reducing traffic congestion around the school, improving air quality, and giving children a chance to enjoy some physical activity before and after class.
By participating in Active School Travel, you are helping to build lifelong healthy habits, support your community, and contribute to a safer school environment for everyone.
