Wishart State School Bush Dance

Excitement is building as we move closer to the 2021 Wishart State School Bush Dance has been postponed - date to be advised. This year the Bush Dance will take place on the oval from 9.00am to 1.40pm. Parents/Carers are welcome to watch. As in previous years, students are encouraged to dress in the theme of the bush (jeans, checked shirts, boots and Akubra like hats).
The P&C will have a BBQ and drinks will be on sale across the day.
As a school community we will need to adhere COVID Safe protocols at the event.
Our COVID-safe guidelines are outlined below, and we ask all our parents, carers, and visitors to follow them when attending Junior Sports Day:
- Students, parents, carers, and visitors are not to attend if they are unwell or sick.
- It is essential adults adhere to physical distancing of 1.5m
- Face masks. Please be guided by Qld Health directives at the time.
- To ensure contact tracing, if required, parents, carers, and visitors are required to use the “Check In Qld" app. A QR code will be provided in the assigned spectator area.
- Parents, carers, and visitors will be able to observe their children from the allocated spectator area and are to remain behind the bunting at all times.
- Entry and exit to the school oval is via the gate at the carpark on Colwyn Street.
Additionally, parents, carers, and visitors are reminded they are not permitted to take photographs or video footage of children other than their own, unless given permission by a child's parent.
