Harmony Week is held each year in March. It’s a time to celebrate our cultural diversity and a time to reflect on the importance of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the World.

Diversity, Respect and Belonging. These 3 words describe Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a celebration of multiculturalism with the message that “Everybody Belongs”.

During Week 9, Wishart State School will celebrate Harmony Day with 2 assemblies:

  • Prep: Tuesday 21st March @ 9am in the Hall
  • Year 1 - Year 6: Friday 24th March @ 9am in the Hall.

On these days, students are invited to wear traditional/cultural dress or orange clothing to school to show support for cultural diversity.
