Further communication to assist with arrival and departure from school over the coming weeks
Good afternoon parents/carers,
Further to the communication sent today, please read the following information to assist you and your child/ren when they arrive and depart school over the coming weeks.
Prep Students – arrival and departure information
On arrival to school, Prep students will be met at the Prep Campus gates by staff from 8:30am to 9:00am and assisted to their classroom.
Late Arrivals (after 9:00am) – should your child arrive late to school, please move to the Prep Campus gates on Colwyn Street and telephone the school Office on 3849 0555, to notify of your child's arrival at school. A member of our Admin team will electronically sign your student in with a Late Slip and will telephone your child's classroom Teacher to notify them that your student is waiting for entry at the Prep Campus gate. A staff member will then meet your child at the Prep gate and take them to their classroom. Please note – the Late Slip will be passed on to your child's Teacher by Admin throughout the day.
At the conclusion of the school day, Prep students will be assisted to the Prep Campus gates to meet their parents/carers from 2:45pm.
If your child is attending Outside School Hours Care the usual processes will occur for these students.
Early Departures (prior to 2:45pm) – where possible, advise your child's teacher in advance if your child needs to be collected early. When you arrive, please go to the Prep gate and telephone the school Office on 3849 0555 to advise of your arrival. Admin will contact your child's teacher who will organise for them to be accompanied to the Prep gate to meet you.
Year 1 to 6 Students – arrival information
On arrival to school, Years 1 to 3 students are to go to the Junior Shelter Shed; and Years 4 to 6 students are to go to the Senior Shelter Shed.
Staff will be on hand from 8:15am to 9:00am at the following school gates to assist and support students upon their arrival (refer to the below link to map) -

- Tuckshop Pedestrian gate;
- Resource Centre Pedestrian gate
Late Arrivals (from 9:00am) – upon arriving at school, bring your child to the Admin entrance gate and wait outside the gate until your child enters the foyer, to ensure their safe arrival into the school grounds. Your child will then obtain a Late Slip from Admin staff, and proceed to their classroom and give the slip to their classroom teacher.
Year 1 to 6 Students – departure information
Can you please discuss departure arrangements with your child/ren for the end of the school day, so they know where to meet you or where to go.
Staff will be on hand to assist and support students as required from 2:55pm.
Please discuss the following applicable option/s with your child/ren –
- which gate your child should meet you at if you are collecting them directly from school;
- if your child/ren is booked in to attend Outside Hours School Care, please remind them to go there;
- if your child/ren catch the school bus, please remind them to make their way to the usual place they catch the bus;
- if your child/ren is to walk home from school, please remind them of this arrangement.

When you arrive please go to the Admin gate and telephone the school Office on 3849 0555 to advise of your arrival. Admin will contact your child's teacher who will organise for your child to come up to Admin, and Reception staff will supervise them meeting you at the Admin gate.
